Boy Scouts

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Boy Scouts is a program of the Boys Scouts of America with the objective of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.  This program is available to boys meeting any of the following three criteria.
  • • Has earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old
  • • Has completed the fifth grade and is at least 10 years old
  • • Is 11, but not yet 18 years old
Boys start at the same level (Scout) when they join Boy Scouts and progressively work towards the highest rank (Eagle).
